Vuoden 1937 farmakopeassa on omat monografiat neljälle eri spriin vahvuudelle.
- Spiritus (Sprii) 85,7-87,0 paino-%
- Spiritus dilutus (Laimea sprii) 62,2-63,1 paino-%
- Spiritus fortis (Väkevä sprii) 91,0-94,0 paino-%
- Spiritus tenuis (Heikko sprii) 40,9-42,9 paino-%
Seuraavassa, vuoden 1956 farmakopeassa Spiritus-monografian alla on esitelty pääasiassa Spiritus fortista (92,0-95,5 p-%). Muut laadut esitetään lyhyesti alaotsikoiden alla. Spiritus tenuis on tuolloin jo kokonaan poistunut kuvioista.
