Little My, green # 103

The subject of this mug is one of the Moomin main characters: Little My.

She is little, but her tongue is not so little...
There is one Finnish apothegm that suits to describe her personality: A Little One leaps from the ground as well.

Tove Jansson got the idea for the name from his uncle, who was a mathematics teatcher. A Greek letter (μ = myy in Finnish) means one part of million in physics. As Little My is the smallest person in Moomin Valley, the name describes her well.

Little My was born on the Midnight summer night for her mother Mymble The Elder. Little My has many sisters, but she is the smallest of them all. Her sister Mymble The Younger took care of Little My as a little child and even later. Snufkin is a half-brother or even brother for Little My.

Little My is a straight person: she says what she thinks, and doesn´t care, what other people think. She is brave and independent person - even stubborn. You can not keep your secrets, as My guesses what it is all about. She is also very curious. Little My does what she wants, and she manages to do it without nobody defends.

In Moominvalley Winter novel Little My lives in a cardboard box, and she slides down the hills with a silver platter. My has said, that she is so little, that nothing bad can happen to her. Even My is impish, she never wants to hurt anybody (except Stinky). Little My spends a lot of her time in the Moomin house as Moominmamma seems to be a kind of mother figure for My.

Little My is my favorite person even she likes to bite to defend or just for a lust of biting. It is said that besides Moomintroll Little My represents one side of Tove Jansson´s own personality.

Condition is very good: no cracks or chips or scratches. There appear two spots (2. and 3. photo). The value of this mug has began to rise.
